My web2 social feeds are on fire with debates over the latest moves by big tech—the rise of techno-feudalism: walled-off social networks, predatory AI, privatized data… As everything that constitutes the real is digitized, the noosphere—the contested space where humans merge with information—raises a fundamental question: who owns humanity once it has been digitalized? This question brings back to the forefront one of the internet’s most essential cultural principles: open source. Two years ago, I wrote this article: "How to Craft an Art Tribe with an Open Source DNA" , exploring how blockchain and AI could redefine artistic creation and distribution. Art, when intertwined with technology, has always been an avant-garde—a sensor of worlds to come. https://medium.com/@pierrepauze/how-to-create-in-art-a-dynamic-that-would-be-to-contemporary-creation-what-open-source-is-on-the-ee0aac2497c7
