If most of your replies are getting zero engagement, consider changing your behavior. Zero engagement triggers the spam algorithm (mutual follows excluded). Did you read the whole thread before replying? Was your reply unique among all other replies? Did you reply with an emoji or one word? Was your reply relevant to the original cast? On topic? If the caster only saw your reply in their notifications tab would they know what your reply is in reference to? It's a real shame that you have to know the rules to avoid being penalized for natural attempts at engagement here. It's already difficult for new people to grok and get over the differences with FC/WC and something like Twitter, but the spam label "rule" like this just seems like an unmarked minefield.

The algorithm is very aggressive on people now, sometimes if I see a cast and I didn’t know what to reply I just like the cast and move on, if you get ignored by someone that’s not following you, you will have higher chance of ending up in spam list.
