I've been a part of the art community for 2.5 years on X & now here for a few months, & I can tell you with certainty that artists on @farcaster are at a crossroads. Best case 1: There's some foundational shift where the fc ecosystem elevates these "quality content" creators & they can have a meaningful existence here. Best Case 2: They go explore Lens or maybe back to X (where despite the algo, they get some recognition for their art from their peers). Worst case: They get disenchanted with web3 altogether because they've been scammed, rugged, ignored, reduced to a number & pretty much treated like second class citizens regardless of where they exist. I worry about this the most. Irony 1: The art community is the most vibrant community any social community can have. We literally have generational talent hanging out amongst us & most of us are unaware. Irony 2: Artists who are here are the most tech forward of the normie bunch we'd wanna onboard. Biggest assets for any social platform. 1/2 π§΅

I donβt want to add fuel to the fire, but maybe some sparks. On Airstack I can see one of my casts got 308 likes, 161 comments, and 232 recasts. It was a fun little mint for my community. It earned 1,3000 moxie. On Warpcast those numbers are: 115 likes, canβt even see the number of replies, and 93 recasts. Warpcast has decided that half my community is low value and not the right type of engagement. I can see it from the moxie values. I know this. But it kills me inside because I know my community is kind and generous and supportive of me and this feels like theyβve been labeled worthless.

1300 moxie, which is about what I spent on gas first the mint. Added another zero there which makes it sound way crazier than $3

Everybody being reduced to mere numbers is not the ideal an setting but if everyone had a path to up their numbers without slaving 24X7X365, itβd be a great start.

This is the issue if you want to succeed here you have to be willing to spend 12hours a day to get paid 2$ a day.

I donβt think I could argue with that. Maybe $10 if I really got lucky and someone with a really high FarScore engaged with me.
