I was disgusted by 99% of people in Japan (everyone including tourists, not just locals!) I only saw women because they don’t have many gender neutral restrooms but on the Shinkansen the sink is shared and I never saw a dude wash their hands at all and most women’s hand hygiene made me up the alcohol spray and wipes significantly because I assumed everything shared I touched was full of nasty germs.
