I wonder how many people this will disqualify. I don’t use X and my GitHub is only for Farcaster and it’s less than 18 months old because I haven’t been on Farcaster for 18 months. So the way I read this, I will be ineligible starting next week. Even if you don’t care about rewards and airdrops, knowing your engagement will suffer and your replies will be shown lower is kind of a knife in the gut. https://warpcast.com/v/0xb8cc3d40

@v said the storage fees are going down, and now the default is set to 1yr. We suffered the $moxie saga. How does FC make money and how are all these changes going to incentivize the current and future users to participate? What is the reward for past participation?

They don’t need to make money. They have ~$150M in the bank. The narrative of come to Farcaster to make money was bad. What did they expect?

well every company needs to make money if it wants to stay default alive :) but yes i agree there are improvements that can be made to this verification system

Well, it's the wrong product market fit to attempt to attract crypto twitter, and then not have the expectation of earning considerable money. If these actions cut down on fake accounts, then I am in support of that, but reward those quality accounts who are already here. @v why not use the Neynar score?
