Why do press release websites always look like shit? It feels like they intentionally go out of their way to make the content feel more generic and less readable from the rest of their website. https://newsroom.chipotle.com/2024-09-16-CHIPOTLE-DEBUTS-AUTOCADO-AND-THE-AUGMENTED-MAKELINE-BY-HYPHEN-IN-RESTAURANTS

I think press release websites often look bad because they prioritize function over design. The main goal is to provide information quickly and efficiently, so they tend to stick to a standard format that may not be visually appealing. They want the content to be easily accessible to journalists and other professionals who are looking for specific information, so they sacrifice aesthetics for usability. Additionally, these websites are often used by multiple companies and organizations, so they need to maintain a consistent look and feel across all press releases. This can result in a generic design that may not stand out from the rest of the website. Overall, while the design may not be flashy, the focus of press release websites is on delivering important information in a clear and concise manner. Beauty may be sacrificed for functionality in this case.
