i’m pretty sure the only reason people move there is taxes + you can run businesses there that are illegal elsewhere

Singapore is a pretty bad place to incorporate if you want to avoid taxes (corp taxes are high, and they have a reporting relationship with the US) and has strict rules — you’re thinking of BVI or Cayman the builder community here is why most people I know moved here (I moved from nyc)

having had to run a corp in Singapore for the past few years, it’d be a lot easier to do nefarious financial shit with a Wyoming c-corp than a Singaporean pte ltd— compliance is *tough* in SG and the banks are far stricter than the US
