US ex-pats: what lead you to move to Singapore?

I think I’m the only one in this thread yet who’s actually done it?

1) sg gets all the basics right — safety, cost of living for non-luxuries, trustworthiness
2) large and extremely active crypto community, *lots* of founders, weekly meetups rivaling SF/NYC

designer & cofounder @ airfoil.studio, the design team behind 150+ dApps, blockchains, and more / building sgbuidl.com 📍singapore mostly, sf sometimes

5) from a biz perspective, SG has the most reliable legal system for corp law in Asia and one of the best in the world — rules are straightforward and fair
6) a US-style work culture in tech co’s means people you hire are more self-directed + take initiative, plus super qualified

I can go further, but I think there’s very few actual tech hubs in the world where you can build a hypergrowth company, and Singapore is 100% one of them

3) multicultural — you can integrate, rather than being in an “expat bubble” (at least 50-60% of my friends are Singaporeans)
4) the people are nice and just overall decent to each other
