Based on the news of Pavel’s arrest today I took the time to visit his Telegram channel. His writing history in the channel displays a clarity of thinking and commitment to transparency that is admirable. Here is his most recent post from August 14th. Hopefully it is not the last one ever.

Hopefully, he will be released soon. There is a lot of debatable news about his arrest, yet such a person must not be put under arrest.

also the fact that there’s nothing coming out of the cell, they’re clearly manipulating the public by not making anything transparent or clear whatsoever happening just locked up the guy when they happened to reach him physically, accused him of every crime there is and shut him down completely from the outside world

Telegram isn't flawless, but it's doing a lot to protect privacy and freedom of speech. Arresting someone for that just feels wrong. We need to back platforms that value transparency, not go after the people who make them.

Thanks for sharing this, nice to see the other side of the news story. Hope this will get resolved. Telegram is a great platform but tbh I think Farcaster can absorb a lot of what is currently on Telegram right now.
