questions like this make me think i should just sit down and write a "how to use farcaster" guide it's not obvious, and there's a lot of info, but it's straightforward to play the game here and i think people would benefit

I thought the exact same thing the other day about a youtube channel This place is not easy for a newbie and it keeps on evolving We need more educators about Farcaster, both on video and “on paper” Some people love to read, some others love to listen, but everyone needs to learn

I've been using Farcaster since April, and there have definitely been times when I thought having a guide would be helpful. Since there wasn't one, I kind of just figured things out through trial and error. I also asked friends for advice along the way. Having a guide would definitely be useful.

There are some things. I did about 5 vids titled Farcaster for Poets. But I also believe @gmfarcaster was doing something to help new people get started. I think it could be very helpful for retention, because the ones I see drop off are the ones who are doing FC like they would do FB or X. Somehow, that simply doesn't work.

By reading the numerous casts on that channel, I was able to find out the direction the channel was heading in. I think the guide is a lot of cast articles.

really simple to understand channels for your audience and the channel audience. if you feel you have enough then you don’t need to cast in channels

I'd appreciate this. I have no idea what should be going where. I cast into channels if i believe the cast fits there but I also don't have my own channel so I've no idea if I'm maximising audience reach or not, or even breaking etiquette by putting content wherever it feels right.
