I just paid $200 for access to the new o1-pro Deep Research feature. I get 100 requests per month and it can produce a PHD-level research document in under an hour. What should I ask it?

Ask it the best questions to ask such a model that was released early 2025. If you’re still using any brain cells you’re ngmi.

If entangled particles could be utilized for instant communication with no limitation imposed by distance, and if one of those particles was accelerated toward the speed of light such that there was time dilation between them, would communication through time become possible? Asking for a friend. From the future.

Nice! I would ask: If it thinks it’s at a phd level, when does it think it will the surpass a high school-level human in intelligence?

$2/paper is wild. Ask something with an actionable answer that has many variables and unknown-unknowns. “What will the price of Bitcoin be in 2026?”

Ask it to create an exhaustive and complete list of artistic concepts and ideas and works that humans have never created. Curious if this thing is getting more creative or less creative as human overlords attempt to reduce hallucinations.

on a more serious note, if objects such as distant galaxies positioned further away from the viewer are moving faster than objects nearer to the viewer, does that indicate that the Universe was expanding faster in the past? Or, is that merely an illusion, and if so, explain this illusion.

Here is one I've been noodling on "Relatively speaking a lot of mesh boundaries have corollaries with optical filters. With that in mind, are there any optical filter structures that have not yet been used in mesh or filter applications that should have been, and inversely, are there any mesh/filter structures that haven't been applied as optical filters? Please focus initially on blood brain barrier type interfaces, but don't feel constrained to a specific scale. Think of this as a doctoral group exercise to direct research inquires. The goal is to surface otherwise unidentified similarities in seemingly different research areas. Please ensure that all caveats and assumptions are well explained and cited. Do not be afraid to lean into somewhat disparate or non obvious hypotheses, given that this is extremely far upstream brainstorming. If there are other interfacial or filter applications that aren't related to liquid:liquid membranes or optics, raise those as further considerations". 🧐
