Circle CEO: EU's MiCA cryptocurrency law 'introduces a lot of banking risks'. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said that the EU's MiCA regulation introduces credit and counterparty risks. MiCA requires firms to hold 30% of reserves in cash with EU banks, which introduces additional risks. Allaire noted that Circle works with the world's largest banks and does not face any problems in banking relationships. Experts predict that MiCA will be revised in the future to include additional provisions on decentralized finance.
