I'm a mechanical engineer by day and a solidity dev by night - I'm seeking sustainability and balance. Here are ome of the key factors I've found to improve and maintain performance (yes they are the same things everybody says, but this is my experience pushing my capacity as high as I can reliability).
1) sleep - when I start to dip below 6 hours per night, my entire world view suffers, not to mention my ability to retain information, and the quality of the work I produce.
2) food - regular meals, minimal processed sugars and animal based fats (I need to learn more about which fats do what tbh). Sugar is a drug. Once I get on a kick, it's difficult to stop it, want it every day. Quality healthy diet is key to me being able to consistently produce.
3) exercise - I go to the gym. Moving my body, picking up heavy stuff, elevating my heart rate, breaking a sweat. These are requirements to keep my body in physical shape to support my brain.
4) touch grass. Yes anon, we must go outside. 2 replies
