i have always downloaded my entire spotify library on both my iphone and mac

every time I like a song, it gets downloaded; started doing this back in college when unlimited data plans weren't the norm

now worth the storage expense since it allows me to play music i like for focused work in the most remote spots / airplanes

Doesn’t Spotify have weird limits on playlist size / number of likes? I swear it feels like they are doing a FILO queue or something

10k songs in playlist and unlimited likes - so hasn't been a real problem

(they used to have 10k likes total but they got rid of that fully and is now unlimited)

I wish you could have unlimited playlist size, it’s great for shuffling

yeah thats true, I end up shuffling my liked songs (they allow filtering by genre on liked songs now so you can somewhat simulate playlists)
