Who is Cloudflare's D1 for? I had a situation today where there were a lot of writes happening at once and access to the database totally froze up. Couldn't query it at all via wrangler. Is that expected? Is it not meant for high volumes?

Maybe it's just supposed to be a backend for a CMS or something, not a transactional database? It's just sqlite but they really talk it up in their docs.

The D1 doesn't do well with simultaneous writing, despite what they claim. However, they do have a batched write option, maybe that would work for you? https://developers.cloudflare.com/d1/build-with-d1/d1-client-api/#batch-statements
