Haven’t read anything on this topic, but I have to imagine that there’s some sort of futurist ideal of an de-rigging of the economy, the creation of a people’s economy that sidesteps the forces of global capital and its allied/purchased governments and satisfies both leftist and libertarian ideals at once?

yeah I think you’re right. my personal entry was based on this but maybe a little more ideological; the right to transact. was locked out of pattern day trading rules because I had an account less than 30k and also accredited investor rules. crypto was the only place that’d have me.
