you have to weigh interest payments vs the size of the country.  If you're 100 dollars in debt and make 10k a year, that's a problem.  If you're 100 dollars in debt and make 10 TRILLION a year... it's fine.

I'll push back and say this doesn't mean much since the government doesn't have full access to its entire GDP of the country to pay back the debt.  Only to the tax revenues.   Sure the Fed bank can inflate the money supply to make this graph low, but it wont fix the budget discrepancy cause more debt to GDP.

Then shouldn't it be concerning government revenues last year was only 4.71 trillion?
