Registrations and recoveries will be paused until this recovers. Everything else will work fine.

How does farcaster validate a signed message was in fact signed by the account owner? I thought it had to verify through the smart contract onchain? If OP is down it would not be able to verify?

Answering my own question again. Background is how a hub works. 1st syncing OP smart contracts for farcaster to the hub. Then sync casts from the other hubs. The hubs are always monitoring OP for updates. Meaning the messages don’t need to check OP because they already have the latest info to verify the signature.
