Seeing everyone go from making their entire image folder Ghibli to being tired of it in less than 24hrs makes me think we're reaching the top for image generation mania. The last round of image mania with stable diffusion's hidden images (like spiral town) lasted a couple weeks to a month in comparison. Reminds me a lot of late 2021 Crypto, where people would chew through project narratives in a day or two before moving on.

Wouldn't surprise me if down the line they replaced search with grok altogether, even if you know the tweet you're looking for it's impossible to find unless it's very new.

Warpcast is still way too early to divide users into paying and non paying, it first needs to gather enough growth to move away from the other network. Even if false, the presence of free and paid accounts would create the perception that paid accounts are getting unfairly boosted over free ones.

As boring of an answer as it is, for most people there's very little point keeping a store of value on ETH/BTC when stablecoins exist. If you are uncertain enough about your local economy to try out decentralized alternatives, a USD denomination is safe enough. Expect to see less VC alt L1s and more stablecoins like PYUSD as more and more people notice this.

Long story short, .io is meant to represent a country, in the same way that .it is supposed to be italy even if people use it for something else. The region that represented .io is now not going to be a thing anymore. The article suggests that they'll unwind all TLDs, but chances are a special agreement will be made to keep it around.

I feel they decided to close the channels way too early. Luckily, the vibes here are still comfier than alternatives so I'm happy to stay, but I can see these choices really harming growth and user acquisition as it forces every new user to be a reply guy
