A singularity is a point with an immeasurably high density, in which the entire mass of a black hole is concentrated.

One of my favorite movies. And how much scientific data is in it! You can learn about the singularity, and about the event horizon, that time is a relative concept - it flows differently everywhere

The event horizon is a semi-permeable membrane that allows the movement of material bodies in only one direction - to the center of the black hole, where the unknown laws of quantum gravity reign

If the Earth were a little smaller, there would be no oxygen in our atmosphere. And if it were a little more, then there would be a lot of poisonous gases in the atmosphere

Jupiter has a lot of mass. Thanks to this, it throws flying asteroids away from Earth into outer space

If the Earth did not have its Moon satellite, then the Earth's axis would be constantly changing, which would cause dramatic climate changes, a flurry of earthquakes and tsunamis

Last time we imagined the Sun the size of a billiard ball - 7cm in diameter, then the Earth at this scale is only 0.5 mm!

If you imagine the sun in the form of a billiard ball (about 7 cm in diameter), then Mercury, the planet closest to the sun, will be almost 3 meters away on this scale! And the Earth is just over 7.5 meters away!

A black hole is a strange object. If you look into its interior, you will not find the slightest sign of matter, but only a complete void right up to the very center, where the singularity is located - an immeasurable point with infinitely high density, in which the entire mass of the black hole is concentrated

A ray of light - a stream of photons - reaches from the sun to the Earth in 8 minutes, and from the North Star to the Earth in 472 years! So now we see the Polar Star as it was in the time of Columbus!

If we take 1 gram of electrons and place each of them in a straight line next to each other, then they form a chain 4 billion kilometers long
