Today is the anniversary of adopting my son. My best day. Right now, he loves it too. I never can decide if I'm being weird though, always holding space for him for when today becomes complicated for him. It will, and I don't want him to worry about my feelings and pretending to be 100% if he's partially sad.

You can never be weird enough for your son and giving him the resources to manage his feelings is an unspoken love. Keep it up, I can imagine he appreciates it. Even if he may or may not show it. You being there is the greatest thing ever and if you are feeling weird. That is just a part of the process. Imo just means you’re doing it right. Happy anniversary to your family.
