They absolutely aren't - pre-WWII Germany was dealing with crushing war reparations from WWI and hyperinflation that devastated its economy in the 1920s, whereas the US economy has seen some of the strongest gains in a long time. Those who are affected by the real economic crisis, the fact that wage growth hasn't kept pace with productivity gains and the cost of living increases, are not the ones profiting from the above.

There's no difference between the German businessmen who joined the Nazi party in 1939 to protect their assets and anyone who bought the Trump token. Thats exactly the kind of complicity that fascism requires to function.

Seeing the same crypto people ape into Trump's crypto who spent four years calling Trump supporters brainwashed cultists... and now they're buying fake internet money from him. I'd say there's not much difference between the January 6th rioters and them, but the thing is that the January 6th rioters at least believed in something. It was wrong and terrible, yes, but they got up from their couch and put their unhinged FB posts into action. These crypto bros however are like "Oh, Trump's a fascist destroying democracy... but have you seen the pump though?" Mfs went from posting 'Nazi punks fuck off' to "maybe we can overlook the whole overthrowing democracy thing and giving an unhinged fascist and his family a 30 billion dollar war chest if there's a good pump and dump opportunity" That's the thing about principles... they're only principles until you decide not to make money off breaking them.

A small selection of the nearly 200 artists, projects and participants that will be part of CTM Festival's upcoming 2025 edition - ten days of multi-perspective experiences, critical reflection, collaborative learning & hedonism. This will be my 14th edition as a co-curator and my 19th edition as a guest, meaning I spent the majority of my adult life in the CTM continuum, from skipping past security as a broke student to attend the first time, to working the merch stand, to being part of the team. As someone who released multiple Dopplereffekt records and albums - i wish this would be presented and handled in a way that does justice to their work and legacy. This is quite disappointing tbh and i'm really confused why this is running and being sold via your personal channels and wallets and not done properly!
