It's wild because there is a historical context to what's happening now in terms of crackdown on dissent in America and mass deportations, and it was litterally stopped by the courts and ruled unconstitutional

As someone who experienced the campus “protests” I think there is a more nuanced situation. There is a difference between protesting and blocking campus and routes to classes to those you are protesting against. If a student group on campus shouted the n-word and chanted slogans calling for their demise of all African Americans that tried to walk by (but couldn’t because they were being blocked) I think everyone would demand justice for them. I think that’s all that is being asked for the Jewish/Israeli community.

And you missed the point that the last time we tried to mass deport legal immigrants on "national security" concerns due to political beliefs it was vastly defeated in court and was an embarrassment for everyone involved

I think you missed my point, they are not being deported for their political beliefs, but for acting in ways that take others civil rights away. As I said if any other minority was treated like the Jewish students are being treated on campus there would be national outcry. If you don’t believe me, replace “black” for “Jewish”, as you read through the incidents of what actually happened.

Spent many years in the great American heartland in rural and urban areas, so you don’t know of what you speak. I’m not sure if I’m more uncomfortable by the fact that you’re ok with with the treatment of a minority or the fact that you try to pigeonhole that that don’t agree with you. Racism is racism, I’m sorry you don’t see it that way
