I think everyone expected Le Pen's win in France.

Am I the only one who's cautiously but pleasantly surprised about the Left's performance? They seem to have done better than expectations, and are not far off from the far right.

Or maybe I'm just coping 😅

i like the optimism of @chainleft but this map is a bit less nice to look at 

the dark colour you see is the extreme right / Front National so basically they won everywhere except Paris and some major cities

I believe the right wing will win not just in rural but in urban city… the right wing movement has been growing steadily for the last 5 years. Sweden, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium just some example. 

The case of France is worrying and the ramifications will be much bigger. 

Exit from EU, NATO? Are on the line!
