once at my lowest, someone i loved a lot said about me "who would have thought somebody that's like so happy and cheery on the outside and so sweet could have such a fucked up constitution?" and you know what i still think about it and it makes me really grateful for the friends i'm with and where we are today

We are all flawed in some way or the other... That makes us human... If we were perfect, we would be what some people call 'god' and similar things... Think it will be great to have friends who call out (in private) things that are going astray.... show the mirror.... Not sure if this person was your well-wisher or just trying to hurt
