Highly recommend this I’m Still Here and was the best film I’ve seen in years. Imo, it should have won Best Picture. Sadly it didn’t get as much attention because of its late release in the US. My Letterboxd review in comments…

My colleagues and I have been embracing real lunch breaks more, it’s been nice to just sit and chat for an hour. Too many of us get stuck in the Sweetgreen or “something bowl” at desk routine. Let’s bring back proper sit-down lunches! We stopped at Momoya which has great sushi and sashimi lunch specials for around $30, highly recommend.

Commodore II in LES burger and chicken sando. Honestly pleasantly surprised by the burger, I know they’re known for their chicken sandos. Nice chill vibe on a Friday night

Found out last month that my sweet girl has cancer—a form of soft tissue sarcoma—and it’s completely wrecked me. I adopted her in my early 20s, and she’s only 9.5. She’s going in for surgery on Monday, and we’re hoping it’s not the aggressive kind. The tumor is on her hind leg, so if they can’t remove it all, amputation is the next step. Haven’t talked about this much, but if anyone’s been through something similar, I’d love to hear. The tripod dog groups on Facebook have been a huge comfort. For now, just soaking up a fun weekend with my little bug before a tough week ahead.
