No more boletes today. Instead we found something even more rare. Beefsteak polypore, or ox tongue mushroom. Fistulina Hepatica. Doesn’t taste like beef but it bleeds a red substance. Tastes slightly acidic. Lemony.

It’s so weird. The cut pieces started to bleed. Currently dehydrating them into jerky.
