We can't all just move so we have to solve it for people on the coasts too. I live in a city of less than 100k people but the median home is over $500k now and there are almost no starter homes available. It's not like I'm trying to live in a big city or something. They're not fancy houses either just regular average stuff. People could buy small homes here on working class salaries a couple decades ago and that's disappeared.

yeah people living in desirable coastal or spiritually coastal areas have it tough. one thing that's interesting is that the average american town is only 6200 people. are there places like that near you you could commute from?
