I'm not quite sure on that. For Americans, having USSC for example isn't very crypto. But maybe for a victim of US imperialism that lives in a country whose currency has been debased by colonialism, holding USD stables could be very crypto (if they can get around sanctions). And maybe we see something like a global currency basket stablecoin that is a global equalizer in a way. Or maybe a decentralized algo stable that's a volatility dampened Eth or BTC that's better than previous attempts. Just thinking out loud idk

I understand the argument for people outside the US but to me a product being "crypto" means it doesn't rely on trusted 3rd parties if you use USDC and USDT you are trusting they don't blacklist you, that's not crypto and the real decentralized stablecoin options don't get used, but yes those attempts are much closer to the crypto ethos imo
