What I love about Mono Lake is the fact that you can get a variety of colors and looks all in one evening at sunset. This was towards the end of the night looking towards the sun after it went behind the mountain. The texture in the clouds is amazing!

Got to shoot into the sun for this sunset! Started out with no clouds and I almost left. Then suddenly the clouds emerged from behind the mountain and the tree framed the sun perfectly! The light that night was amazing!

I took this shot toward the end of my vacation. There were very few clouds when we were on the valley floor in Yosemite. But when we got to Glacier point the clouds had rolled in and there was a storm in the distance which made for an amazing landscape! Shot with my Sony A7R and Sony 16-35 lens, 9 exposure blended.

I took this shot toward the end of my vacation. There were very few clouds when we were on the valley floor in Yosemite. But when we got to Glacier point the clouds had rolled in and there was a storm in the distance which made for an amazing landscape! Shot with my Sony A7R and Sony 16-35 lens, 9 exposure blended.

This is a hike at McGhee Creek on the other side of the 395 from Crowley Lake. It was a great hike with combinations of rocks, the sound of rushing water, and trees and soft trails! There were even horses on this trail I needed to move aside for. A perfect way to start my first day of hiking on the trip!
