starting things without pressuring myself to finish them, (most present with reading books) has made me realize much sooner if I am truly enjoying something or forcing myself to enjoy something

Deciding to do less. I wanted to do like 7things at a time and always felt behind, rushed and unproductive. I am now doing one thing at a time - I feel peaceful and effective.

Getting sunlight as early as I can after waking up. Great segment on Andrew Huberman’s podcast about this.

I finally gave myself a permission to stop reading books I don’t enjoy or don’t finish books that are too repetitive (all business books end up saying the same thing after 2nd chapter).

writing everything in one place. in my case it’s been in markdown files via logseq: - every idea, big or small, has a home - writing is enjoyable - all my data is my own

I started eating Danish rye bread for breakfast, now I don't get hungry until dinner and completely lost my appetite for cake. Quite remarkable actually. Also started using the sled at the gym, it had a significant effect on my resting heart rate, and probably my heart in general. Never liked cardio, so that's great.

giving up sweets. It made me feel physically much better than I had imagined, and I miss them much less than I expected.

Started tracking sleep with my apple watch. It's been very motivating. Getting to see objectively that I've had a good night's sleep puts me in a better mood even if I wake up a little grumpy.
