Security Measures for Protecting Funds in Cosmos

Important steps to protect your assets in Cosmos:

1. Check current status and reset reward address:
Check the address on Mintscan.io before resetting. If the reward address differs, it will be shown under your main address.
After resetting, the address will disappear, and rewards will be sent to your own address.

2. Restore address via Keplr:
Go to Keplr Dashboard > Staking > Total Claimable Staking Rewards. If the address is not yours, a warning will appear, and you’ll be prompted to reset it.

3. Is it safe to use the wallet?
After resetting the reward address, the wallet is safe to use, as the wallet itself wasn’t compromised. To ensure additional safety, check the permissions authorized by your wallet. You can do this in Keplr: Settings > General > Manage Authz and on https://cosmosrescue.com/revoker
