What I tell my problems sometimes:

“Hey we’re not arriving at any sort of breakthrough here, so why don’t we circle back at 8 in the morning and see if anything has happened”

I learned this when I was younger while playing video games. Sometimes stuck on a level for hours, I would come back the next day and beat it on the first try. I started to realize that good ideas come in the shower and so on. Relaxing is the best way to achieve great results. Or at least, to make progress in some challenge.

my mom’s way of showing affection is going to sleep and leaving the TV on when my team’s game is on, so when i get home from college, it’s all ready for me to watch
