I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for two years. He is 34 years old, I am 28 years old. He is divorced, no children. He lived with his ex for 6 years. He's a good man, but there are some BUTs.
For a long time I thought I was being picky and making things up. At the very first he told me that he had a fair amount of debt - about a million loans. Who doesn't have that nowadays, I thought. Next came his addiction to alcohol. I don't mind a drink. That was okay, but not two or three days every week, it started to stress me out. After that came the nagging about my moods. “Looked the wrong way, said it with the wrong intonation.”
