@oaa Microsoft filed a lawsuit on January 10th in the Eastern District of Virginia to combat the misuse of generative artificial intelligence technology in cybercrime. The lawsuit is against a foreign threat organization accused of circumventing AI service security measures and producing illegal content. Microsoft's Digital Crime Unit (DCU) stated that the defendant developed tools to illegally access generative AI services using stolen customer credentials, and resold modified AI features with malicious usage instructions. This type of behavior violates US law and Microsoft's Acceptable Use Policy. As part of the investigation, Microsoft has seized the core websites involved in the criminal activities to identify the perpetrators, disrupt infrastructure, and analyze their profit models. In addition, Microsoft has strengthened AI security protection, deployed additional measures on the platform, revoked access permissions for malicious actors, and implemented countermeasures to prevent future threats. @gyozuu
