Today's Based Gooeys lore post is about the Grumpy Stump! Grumpy Stumps are tree stumps that have come to life from the energy flows found within the Shimmering Fields. Like Wily Wisps, Grumpy Stumps are possessed by an inner spirit. Grumpy Stumps are easily annoyed by intruders who encroach into their territory or steal their precious mushrooms. This is problematic for foraging Gooeys, who often find delicious fungi covering a stump and try to harvest them, unaware that the stump is alive--and very grumpy! Grumpy Stumps tend to be fierce creatures. Territorial by nature, they often give up chase once you leave their turf.
