wrt the latest gender kerfuffle i think @proxystudio.eth said it best here! i am once again asking you to remember that how farcaster looks to a rando woman on twitter or elsewhere is not how it looks to us, my suspicion is that ppl's viewpoints here are really skewed due to group chats

I think they problem is -- it was missing the funny. Would have been funnier casted here. Also -- just imagine how much moxie this would have made over here lol Elon not paying for that.

i've been thinking about it and i think there's a deeper meaning to what she's saying here that ppl are missing she never said there are no women on farcaster, she said that she likes talking to women, and i think the move from community to content inhibits making real connections in favour of monetization (for one)

useful context: MP works for Lens Protocol, and at least I associate her account with this kind of direct humor. side note: she also has good taste, used to contribute to an interesting art project pre-Lens my experience of farcaster is overwhelmingly positive, but there are plenty of areas to improve. on my personal X account the gender mix is much more even, and I interact with people who post about a much wider range of topics
