again i have absolutely no issues with memecoins but i don’t think we’re having an honest conversation here

Nouns voted to fund the development of this coin, regardless of what direction it moved in. splitting hairs over that is telling half-truths

the broad idea of the $nouns mechanic of burning to redeem for Nounish NFTs was mentioned as well

the docs make it clear the intention is meme + utility for the ecosystem

i think nogs was already launched when we were voting for this prop (the previous prop didn’t mention a token). bc ppl were skeptical about the new token it was framed as this non financial just fun social thing. it’s really a stretch to say that this prop was an endorsement of nogs or funding of its development

That’s true of most coins before they launch though. Development was funded by the prop though, even if it evolved from there. It feels fair to me to say the project had Nouns funding, but I’m an outsider looking in.
