This one time in 2015 I got asked to talk with a16z and a professor in residence about the distributed compute network we had built. It was a great conversation that left me feeling excited. 

Later that day I was talking with Data Collective GP and he pointed out that PIR I spoke with was working on a similarly themed project, none of this was disclosed to me.

Friends don’t let friends get brain raped

The only reason I know the term brain rape is because it was on the show Silicon Valley, which incidentally had the  season 2 plot twist with Richard wanting to pursue a distributed compute network. A story line which was inspired by Jason Calacanis which he got from us. He seemed quite comfortable selling our story to HBO after I apparently insulted him by saying I didn’t think our project would be a good fit for his accelerator after we launched on at his Launch Festival.

If I’ve upset you with my words then 2 things are probably true:

1) you’re fragile
2) you’re careless with your identity
