been chatting with people recently whether GPT or Claude is better

i use both, but i have shifted to 95% Claude – and it's for this reason:

i don't really trust OpenAI to be a good steward of my data, and with the amount of information i find myself entrusting to these systems, i prefer one that is up front and open about its goal to treat data right


i definitely don’t trust either of them. i do find it pretty funny however that it always mentions ‘safeguards’ for ‘your’ protection. ohhh ok, i belieeeeve you, open ai/anthropic. haha… i mean i get it, i see what they see it being used for, however believe that even though fine-tuning llm’s w/ rag ai & mcp is a pretty fresh evolution of the tech, the insane amount of destruction it’s going to unleash as soon as more nefarious actors truly start adopting, adapting & subverting the code in order to really unleash immense cyber-crime/cyber-warfare on unsuspecting and genuinely underprepared population at large.
