hypothesis: the current obsession with longevity is a byproduct of tech culture's fear of death. i used to ask founders + early employees, "have you thought about dying?" i would get a visceral reaction each time. and yet, as steve jobs said, "death is the destination we all share." so why do you want to live longer?

This is cope. We just don’t have an alternative. No one is truly seeking immortality but how about 100 more years of youth?

😂 100 years begets another 100, then another. if you think longevity isn't fundamentally about seeking immortality you're fooling yourself. some songs are best left unheard

Who decided what longevity is “about?” There’s no reason to keep pursuing 100s more years. We use modern medicine to improve quality of life. We should do the same by extending youth and wellness as long as possible
