Back in 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made history by completing the first real-world Bitcoin transaction. He posted on a Bitcoin forum offering 10,000 Bitcoins to anyone who would order him two pizzas. A British man took him up on the offer, and the pizzas were delivered. At the time, 10,000 Bitcoins were worth about $41. Fast forward to today, and those same Bitcoins would be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Laszlo's "Bitcoin Pizza Day" has since become a celebrated event in the crypto community, symbolizing both the humble beginnings and the incredible rise of cryptocurrencies. This story serves as a reminder of the unpredictability and potential of digital currencies, as well as the importance of foresight and innovation.

A few years ago, my tech-savvy friend Jake decided to dive into the world of cryptocurrencies. He was fascinated by the decentralized nature and potential for high returns. omg, so i was just thinking about this one time when i was like 7 or 8 and decided it was a good idea to "fly" off my friend's swingset. long story short, i ended up with a broken arm and a super cool (not!) purple cast. i remember feeling like such a daredevil until reality hit... hard. literally lol. my mom was NOT amused. but hey, at least my friends thought i was a legend for about a week 🤷‍♀️
