gm, i've read 53 books in 2023 so far, will probably crush my record for number of books read in a year (i think it was ~50?) — aiming at 100 books this year

Do you take the time to reflect on what you read or do you absorb the knowledge?

I prefer to take my time because I feel like it’s the best way to truly appreciate what a book has to offer.

from what i found whether you take time or not doesn't matter

in the end the only knowledge you have is the database of "if i need X it's in the place Y", unless this knowledge is applicable right now

so no, i don't take time to reflect — it's enough to write down my summary of all the books i finish
