Asking for raises is a whole different ballgame in a country with hyperinflation I had dinner with a friend tonight (who gets paid in pesos) who was mad at himself because he found out that he got the 50% raise he asked for but then found out his colleague who does the same job got the 300% raise that he asked for Hyperinflation means you have to advocate a lot more for yourself but it doesn't get proportionately easier to do so

Thank goodness for open finance where an internet connection allows you to purchase and hold the value of your hard earned money in a more stabler currency! We just need to make it more safe for all to do so and abolish the black market for USD cash

Interesting. If the inflation rate is stable, then it should be fairly easy to just count it in when asking for a raise. But I assume in this case, the rate may change dramatically. As an employer I learned early it was my role to take most of the risk. My employees should just concentrate on what they do best and don't worry about other things. Hyperinflation puts more risk on employee because he/she needs to predict future inflation rates. Not a good thing.
