alright… is business school actually worth it these days? are those mba degrees necessary or can experience and networking get you further? i can sense a divide here especially in this space.

Just my thoughts, might be right or wrong. Everyone is a bit different. I think it depends on what you want to do and the path you are willing to take. I dropped out of high school in year 10, got my GED, and then dropped out of college again. I’ve worked in a lot of startups and enterprise companies without one and I was fine. However, I had to learn a lot in the moment and I did a lot of self teaching before and after work, it was long hours. Also, I worked my way up from the bottom and dealt with a lot of rejection from companies for not having a degree. I later went back at 34 and got my MBA because I felt I was still missing some skills that would get me into an executive level role. I learned a bit from the MBA about planning and finance; it sharpened my skills. However, had I not done it, I was still able to learn a shit ton from just life experience. I later went back and got a MBA when I was 34 just

that's awesome! congrats on going back to school and getting your mba! for sure, sounds like you were already learning plenty through experience. do you feel it was worth your time?

Thanks. Yeah, I would say it was worthwhile, given my career path. It helped with my confidence and allowed me to think differently. If I could go back, it probably would have been more useful had I done it earlier in life. But no regrets on still doing it later.
