Kungur Ice Cave is one of the largest karst caves in the European part of Russia, the seventeenth longest gypsum cave in the world. The length of the cave, as of 2021, is about 8153 m, of which about 2 kilometers are equipped for tourists. The air temperature in the center of the cave is from +5 ° C to -2 ° C, the relative humidity in the center of the cave is 100%. Kungur Cave contains 48 grottoes, about 70 lakes (the largest of them, the Big Underground Lake, has a volume of 1300 m³, an area of 1460 m², a depth of up to 5 m), 146 so-called "organ pipes" (the highest is in the Etheric Grotto, 22 m) - high shafts that reach almost to the surface.
