During day 10 of World Gliding Championship in Uvalde, Texas , USA in August, only one sailplane finished the task. 14 landed in the wild. One landed in a lake and almost burned because of batteries and is probably definitely out of order... but bad weather was predictable. Was it a mistake not to call the day off? How were the best pilots able to avoid some of the issues? Read https://wgc2024uvalde.com/the-uvalde-daily-report-late-edition-official-practice-day-3s/#:~:text=An%20update%20on,on%20and%20fly! It's all about experience and patience.
