The biggest difference between crypto people and normies is about the definition of inflation: crypto knows inflation is bad, normies are all told that inflation is good and even a goal.

“Inflation is bad” is the wrong way to think about it. Crypto tokens have inflation that’s actually really good because it’s a credibility neutral way to pay for its networks security

I think the bigger lie is to pass it off as something that naturally happens.
In reality technological progress means the natural path is deflation.
That inflation still happens despite this fact is evidence of foul play.

TL;DR. Inflation is great for rich people who benefit from companies selling more and puts poor people even more at risk as they can't afford to buy or borrow.
So the only context it depends on to me is your opinion about how great it is to have poor people struggling because rich people just party.

I feel like it all depends on the context, no?

But I think generally a little inflation for a growing economy is good  - whilst hyperinflation is terrible

The argument is always "who will spend their money if it's not inflating?"
