How did you get started with Obsidian? I want to use it for similar purposes but got overwhelmed by the UI when I downloaded it

Thank you! I got started using it as a zettelkasten, and eventually I expanded it out to encompass more (e.g. my professional website, portfolio, etc). 

Its definitely a technical tool, but the capabilities (and control) it gives you are quite extensive.

Thank you for including that wiki link because I had no idea what a zettelkasten was and now I'm staring down a deep rabbit hole hahaha
