This move has been nothing if not contentious.

i'm curious about the decision to launch a new token instead of bridging the existing token

i shared some thoughts in the article but ultimately, there needs to be immense buy-in and liquidity for an official bridge. the idea has been discussed several times but no one seemed willing to take action. this has, at the very least, ignited a serious discussion on the topic.
